TattyBogler is Scottish for scarecrow and pays homage to the early Scottish settlers of Otago, pioneers, who braved the harsh environment to carve a living from the land. The 2006 TattyBogler is a blend of two of Otago’s premier grape growing regions. Bannockburn – south of Cromwell, lying on the banks of Lake Dunstan and sloping northward to the warming summer sun and Waitaki Valley, North Otago a region rich in white limestone soils, again on north sloping terraces to achieve maximum ripening.
