This is a blend of 46% Merlot, 45% Malbec and 9% Cabernet Franc from the Gimblett and Triangle Vineyards. The grapes were hand harvested, carefully destemmed and fermented in numerous small batch ferments over a 3 week period then gently pressed to oak barriques. Slow malolactic fermentation in barrel and minimal intervention has created a full, ripe and well balanced wine with a core of ripe fruit and excellent structure. 2013 was an exceptional vintage with perfect growing conditions allowing us to make wines of very high quality and age ability. The wine can be enjoyed now and will cellar for ten years from harvest. Raymond Chan 5 star wine review.

This unfiltered wine is warm and generous on the palate with lifted fragrant fruits of plums and violets. A power packed wine with deep damson hues and dense layers of spice and oak. This is a wine which will be approachable early in its youth, but will age wonderfully for 3-10 years. Drink earlier for a more fruit driven style. Perhaps our greatest Malbec blend to date.
