Forrest Estate The Doctors Riesling 2007

Described brilliantly by Helen Morrison assistant winemaker at Forrest estate Wines as "Toffee apples; sweet on the outside but apply and tart in the middle". It is all juicy granny smith apples, lemon sherbet and grapefruit flavours - sweet mid-palate balanced with a zingy acidity to give a refreshing finish. It is lower in alcohol making it perfect for lunchtime, especially when you have to return to work.

-
Pegasus Bay Riesling 2009
NZD $27.00
This wine has aromas and flavours of lemons, limes, white peaches, nectarines and spice. With careful cellaring it should become intensely perfumed with impressions of honey-suckle, mandarin, orange and marmalade. It is concentrated, but yet, not heavy in the palate, and well balanced with a fresh crisp finish.
-

Waimea Classic Riesling Nelson 2007
NZD $19.50
A delicate, medium style Riesling with intense lime, tropical and floral aromas. Some beneficial botrytis influence is evident in this wine – subtle spice and honey flavours – while on the palate the residual sugar is balanced by firm acidity. Refreshing flavours, fruit zestiness and a lower alcohol make this an excellent luncheon wine.
