The flexibility of this multi-regional blending approach provides for great consistency from vintage to vintage and allows for the best attributes of individual regions to be combined for exceptional results. Tasting Notes Intense colour with bright purple hues. Ripe black fruits with rich dark chocolate and vanillin smoky oak aromas. Medium to full bodied palate weight, characterised by firm tannins and a savoury masculine finish. An ideal accompaniment to red meat and premium cuts of prime beef. Will continue to improve over the next 4-6 years. -

Te Mata Estate Woodthorpe Merlot/Cabernet ‘06 is a deep magenta colour, with aromas and flavours of dark cherry, blackcurrant, cinnamon and vanilla. A fine, even tannin structure carries right across the palate to a sustained finish.

Trinity Hill Gimlett Gravels Tempranillo 2006 NZD $30.00
Ruby red with crimson in colour. Wild raspberry and plum fruit aromas with spice with a little vanillin from oak barrels. This is an elegant wine, with firm but not heavy tannin structure. The texture is silky, but with substance, almost like a combination of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. There is great persistence of the wild fruit flavours on the finish -
Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 NZD $30.00
Dense deep red. Intense ripe rich cassis fruit nose with a hint of mint, showing balanced aromatic oak giving spicy cinnamon/vanilla aromas. Full flavoured rich fruit palate with fine long tannins, the palate has excellent richness which reflects the early warmer vintage but still retains the elegance expected of Leconfield Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate finishes with a clean acidity.
