This unfiltered wine is warm and generous on the palate with lifted fragrant fruits of plums and violets. A power packed wine with deep damson hues and dense layers of spice and oak. This is a wine which will be approachable early in its youth, but will age wonderfully for 3-10 years. Drink earlier for a more fruit driven style. Perhaps our greatest Malbec blend to date. -

Ruby red colour on release. Showing varietal aromas of boysenberry and plums. A medium bodied Merlot with vibrant fruit and supple tannins, with tones of chocolate and tobacco leaf and underlying spicy, toasty oak.

Craggy Range Gimblett Gravels Merlot 2009 NZD $30.00
Deep garnet color. Aromas of ripe plum and raspberry with cedar and vanilla notes. Fine soft tannin belies the palate’s weight, the wine is soft and full with bright acids giving an overall impression of power and persistence. Spice and complexity is gained via the Cabernet Franc portion of the blend.
