    Cocktail aficionados prize the St-Germain elderflower liqueur for its unique delicacy and subtlety and how it contributes a most refreshing piquancy to a well-designed aperitif. There is no other liqueur like it, being made from freshly hand-picked elderflower blossoms, from the foothills in the Alps, picked over the course of three or four days when the plant is in bloom. It is a truly artisan product, as less than 50 pickers are employed, who must quickly deliver the harvest to local market for delivery to the St-Germain distillery.  The freshness of the blossoms is the essence and this is captured in the maceration and distilling process.   • Lysholm Linie Aquavit 500ml NZD $35.99
    Winner of the 2015 San Francisco Spirits Gold Medal. Linie refers to the equator means that akvaviten has crossed the equator twice during its maturation in oak barrels. Lysholm Linie was discovered accidentally in 1805 when the brig Trondhjems Prøve sailed from Trondheim to Batavia (contemporary Jakarta, Indonesia), including fish and aquavit in the load.In Indonesia, they changed their goods but akvaviten flöjde but the home back to Trondheim in 1807. It was then discovered that akvaviten undergone a refining process during the two years akvaviten had lain and matured in barrels. The first advantage of this type of fatmognad aquavit commercial was Jørgen B Lysholm. In 1821 he founded the Lysholm distillery and destillationsfabrik under their own company name: Jørgen B Lysholm. From Trondheim in the late 1830s made he started to export fish to Rio and other South American countries. Lysholm shipped regularly with aquavit in oak casks for storage on board. Since 1927 the Company has Whilhelm Whilhelmsen had an agreement with Arcus to transport those barrels. The first tour went off the first augusti1927 to Australia and back 12 February 1928 with a ship of the line Tungsha of Fredrikstad. Akvaviten produced today by Arcus in Oslo according to the old recipe and now that sooner terminated stored in oak casks to be transported return to Australia with Whilhelmsens boats.Motion, tempratur- and humidity changes on the deck of the ship, where the containers are Linie plass conditioned, releasing aromas both from the keg, and provides a kompleks rounded taste.... more »
